Where holistic development is key...
LSEN Class
Our school proudly offers an LSEN (Learners with Special Education Needs) class designed to provide specialised support for learners who require a more individualised approach to learning. The class accommodates up to 20 learners and follows the DCAPS curriculum, which is adapted to suit each learner’s unique pace, abilities, and level of understanding.
We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed in a supportive environment. Through smaller class sizes, learners receive more individual attention and a tailored educational approach from the teacher. The focus of the LSEN class extends beyond academics and includes practical skills development, emotional well-being, confidence building, and helping each learner reach their full potential.
Placement in the LSEN class is guided by the Gauteng Department of Education (GDE) and follows the SIAS (Screening, Identification, Assessment and Support) process. Learners are typically referred after formal assessments by an Educational Psychologist or a specialised school-based support team. A learner must have a MID number to be considered for placement in the class.
Our dedicated team strives to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every learner feels valued, supported, and empowered to thrive.
