2027 Admissions


We are delighted that you are considering Generaal Alberts Primary School as part of your child’s educational journey. Our admissions process is designed to be clear, simple, and supportive for families applying for the 2027 academic year.
The admission dates for 2027 is currently not available yet.  GDE will announce the dates.  All our admissions run concurrently with the Grade 1 online applications.
Please review the relevant grade-specific application information below.

Grade 1 Admissions (GDE Online Applications)

Admissions for Grade 1 learners are handled exclusively by the Gauteng Department of Education.

Parents and guardians must complete applications through the official GDE Online Admissions Portal when applications open.

Important Information

  • Parents / Guardians complete the online application on the GDE Admissions Portal

  • Supporting documents can be uploaded on the GDE portal or hand submitted directly to the school. 

  • The Albies Admissions Form can be completed and submitted back to the school after you have applied.

Grade R Admissions 2027

Eligibility

Children applying for Grade R must turn 6 years old during 2027 (born in 2021).

How to Apply

  1. Download the Albies Alligators admission form from this page

  2. Complete all required sections carefully

  3. Attach all supporting documents

  4. Submit the application to the school during the admissions period

 

Important to Note

  • Learners enrolled in Grade R do not automatically transfer to Grade 1

  • Parents must still apply separately for Grade 1 through the GDE admissions system

  • Incomplete applications cannot be processed

  • Ensure every field is completed before submission

To process admissions correctly, proof of residence is required.

  • Handwritten municipal letters are not accepted

  • Affidavits will not be accepted

Grades 2–7 Admissions for 2027

Applications for Grades 2–7 are managed directly by Generaal Alberts Primary School.

  • Required supporting documents are attached

  • Information is accurate and clear

  • No required fields are left blank

 

Admission outcomes are expected to be communicated in November.

Important Admission Reminder

Submitting an application does not guarantee placement.

Parents are encouraged to apply to more than one school to ensure alternative options are available.
