Uniform & Appearance
SCHOOL UNIFORM

May is the month of transition from summer to winter uniform.
-
August is the month of transition from winter to summer uniform.
-
During summer months in instances of extreme weather learners will be permitted to wear the prescribed winter uniform.
1. BOYS:
1.1 Summer uniform:
-
Grey shorts or long trousers with a short-sleeved shirt. NO stovepipes.
-
Black school shoes with long grey socks. Black belt if necessary.
-
School pullover, jersey, bottle green Dry Mac or blazer if necessary. Pullover to be worn under jersey.
-
Gr. 1-5 boys may attend school barefoot, on condition that they wear shorts.
1.2 Winter uniform:
-
Grey long trousers with a long-sleeved grey shirt and school tie. NO stovepipes.

Black school shoes with long grey socks. Black belt if necessary.
-
School pullover, jersey, bottle green Dry Mac or blazer if necessary. Pullover to be worn under jersey.
-
Dark green scarf and gloves may be worn. No caps/beanies (knitted or plain).
1.3 Hair:
-
Neat, short and evenly cut hairstyles. No comb-overs or designs cut into hair.
-
Hair should be kept out of eyes and neatly combed.
-
Facial hair on the cheeks, upper lip and chin should be shaved once visible.
-
No coloured hair or streaks.
1.4 General appearance:
-
Cell phones must be switched off during school hours.
-
No jewellery or piercings. Medical Alert bracelet/chain only.
-
No shaved eyebrows.
-
No blankets.
2. GIRLS:
2.1 Summer uniform:
-
Green-and-white checkered dress with a belt. Dress should be 4 fingers above the knee when standing upright.
-
Black school shoes with short white socks. No secret socks.
-
Ski pants (green or black) must be worn under the dress and not be visible when walking.
-
School pullover, jersey, bottle green Dry Mac or blazer if necessary. Pullover to be worn under jersey.
-
Gr. 1 – 3 girls may attend school barefoot.
2.2 Winter uniform:
-
Grey slacks with a long-sleeved grey shirt and a school tie. Grey socks must be worn with black school shoes. Green-and-white checkered dress may also be worn with black/green stockings.

School pullover, jersey, bottle green Dry Mac or blazer if necessary. Pullover to be worn under jersey.
-
Dark green scarf and gloves may be worn. No caps/beanies (knitted or plain).
2.3 Hair:
-
Hair should be neatly tied up when it touches the collar, kept out of eyes. NO half-up hairstyles.
-
No dyed hair or braids are allowed.
-
Relevant hair accessories should be the same as the school colours (white/green/yellow/maroon) or black. NO beads are allowed.
2.4 General appearance:
-
Cell phones must be switched off during school hours.
-
Only one piercing per bottom earlobe. Only sleepers (1 cm diameter), gold or silver studs (4 mm). Only studs with clear stones, no (other) colours allowed.

No other jewellery is allowed, except for signet rings or Medical Alert bracelets/chains.
-
No make-up or lip gloss. Short, natural nails. No clear or colour nail polish.
-
No blankets.
CIVVIES
-
Learners may wear civvies on their birthday. If a birthday falls on a weekend, civvies are to be worn on the Friday before their birthday. If a birthday takes place in a school holiday, civvies are to be worn on the first day of school after the school holiday.

Appropriate clothing to be worn and general rules still apply with regards to hair and accessories.
SPECIAL WEAR
-
Prefects are allowed to wear their prefect shirt, jeans and tekkies on Fridays.
-
First team players are allowed to wear their team jackets on match days.
-
District, provincial, SA colour jackets/tracksuits may be worn on the last Friday of the month.
PE UNIFORM
-
PE uniform & school tracksuit is compulsory.
